Growing up on the Gold Coast was the perfect environment to instil focus and dedication to my passion for sport. I have been competing in sport competitively since I was 9 and was a state champion across 7 different sports throughout my childhood. However, my love of the surf ignited my focus for surf lifesaving. After winning a life goal of a world title in 2008 in the Board Paddle event and with my extensive knowledge of health, fitness and training, I decided to pursue a career in coaching and personal training.
I started my first gym Sculpt Training Centre in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast in 2009 and was owner/director/head trainer over 5 years. In this time I had over 60 staff and trained 1000’s of clients of all demographics. My clientele ranged from all ages of males and females specialising in fat loss, strength and conditioning and sports specific training.
Over the years I have provided strength and conditioning programs for some exceptional athletes – including world champion boxer Corey McConnell, Olympian Lyndsey Fogarty, Australia and World Champion Iron woman Harriet Brown and my best mate and business partner, World Champion athlete and endurance king Caine Eckstein.
However I couldn’t be kept away from the world of surf lifesaving for long, where I coached many World and Australian champion athletes including Ky Hurst, Liz Pluimers, Brodie Moir, Luke Cuff, and Hayley Bateup. I was coaching at Kurrawa Surf Club where I took over the role as head coach in my final 2 years at the surf club. I was lucky enough to be presented an opportunity to be Head Coach at North Burleigh Surf Club where I coached for 3 years. In this time of competing and coaching, I strongly believe I have developed my skills and knowledge of sport, health and fitness that can be tailored to meet the goals of any demographic.
